New Plan for Scans
Graduations are typically celebrations of successfully completing a course. In my case, graduation means completing a course of 3-month scans and moving to 6-month intervals. I am still on my targeted therapy (Enco Bini) and will continue as long as it keeps the melanoma away. Like I mentioned in my last post a year ago, my case . . .

Change Can be Good
Thankfully, the changes I mention in my title do NOT include changes in my cancer status-I am still cancer-free according to all of my 2024 scans (most recently in November). It was great to see the phrase, "No changes identified" each time I read the reports.

Never a Dull Moment
Often when you are tempted to forget cancer is a part of your life, something happens to remind you of its presence. 2023 provided great opportunities for me to appreciate where I'm at in this season of remission, and 2024 began with a reminder that I need to continue to trust that whatever happens, God is in control.

I hope that this post is my final "in treatment" episode. I'll have more to report in a few weeks, but God sure was answering prayers this week in amazing ways.
My surgery day went very smoothly. In fact, I was awakened in the middle of a few nights prior with thoughts of which plants I forgot to tell my family to water . . .
