Next Steps
Upcoming Surgery and Treatment
"Today is a good day." That has been my answer to the "How are you?" inquiries for the past few months. This response came as a result of the roller-coaster that continues to best explain my cancer journey.
Since you can't see my smile, or my expression, know that I say those words with much peace. The past few . . .

Another New Plan
Two months have passed since my last post and life is (thankfully) a lot less painful and a lot more optimistic.
We arrived at the hospital for surgery and my surgical oncologist decided (even though I had done labs to check my iron the week prior) to order one last lab check. Much to everyone's (including my) surprise, my . . .
Different Approach
Changing the Treatment Plan
A lot has happened since I last posted an update. Praise God, a lot of that has been good. First, we did make it on our cruise after locking ourselves down and staying out of circulation. As I mentioned in my October post, the scans prompted a treatment change, which I began on October 26, when . . .
Changes
Scans and modified treatment
This update has a lot to report and some technical details, so apologies in advance. I had my scans a week early due to my new medical oncologist going on vacation. I am glad to know he takes care of himself by going on vacation because I certainly want to know that the expert following my treatment is well-rested. ![]()
