I'm hoping my readers are operating under the "No news is good news" rule of thumb as far as I go. I know life gets busy for everyone, so you no doubt understand when I'm late to update. But hey, it's still July, so I'm technically "on time" since my last post said scans are every 4 months, right?![]()
My July scans were again clear, praise God. The only side-effect I have experienced (and we're not even sure if it's a side-effect) is a tiny rash on my arms. It isn't uncomfortable, but the oncologist still asked me to take some allergy medications to see if it goes away. Truthfully, the treatment (allergy pills) has been worse than the symptom (those of you who know me are aware that I don't "do" tired very well). The rash seems to be going away, so please keep praying for it to go away completely and for zero side-effects.
I will have an infusion in August and then my last infusion, Lord willing, will be September 12. I will follow with scans in November and then every 4 months through November of 2019 when the frequency will lower. I am so thankful that this road has been full of blessings and reminders of God's goodness.
One great blessing is the healing of my ankle surgery site. I was concerned that the loss of so much tissue in that area would make hiking unpleasant. That does not seem to be an issue since I have enjoyed great hikes so far this summer without incident or discomfort. Praise God!

Thank you all again for your prayers and encouragement. I am grateful to know so many wonderful people!
Praises:
- Great healing from surgery site.
- No significant side-effects from treatment.
- Excellent care from doctors and staff.
- Peace in the journey.
- Clear scans
Prayer Requests
- Continued effective treatment with no side-effects.
- Opportunities to share hope with hospital staff and patients we encounter.
- I have so many friends and acquaintances who are experiencing their own cancer journeys or are praying to remain in remission from treatment. Would you please take a minute to pray for all those who are walking the cancer road. Pray for God to heal them and protect/support their families in the journey. Pray that they will find peace in whatever outcome and that this experience will show them more of who Jesus is.
