It has already been great to see God moving and opening doors. Our prayers to get the PET scan scheduled this week have been answered. I will head to Huntsman Cancer Institute early tomorrow morning for that procedure. Then, on Tuesday, I'm scheduled for a biopsy of the largest lymph node.
The most exciting answer to prayer is that we were able to apply for a Transition of Care with the new insurance company. As long as it is approved (we are told there is no reason it won't be approved), I will be able to continue receiving treatment at Huntsman for the next 90 days. Lord willing, this will allow me to get the biopsy, complete surgery, get a treatment plan in place and get that started before I need to change to a different facility. Isn't God amazing?!
The team of doctors at Huntsman will meet on Thursday, 11/5 to discuss my PET and biopsy results and decide on the next steps. I will update after I hear about the plan.
In the meantime, we appreciate your prayers for the following:
Praise God for:
- The Transition of Care option
- A PET scan scheduled for this week-under our current insurance plan.
- So many helpful people from Huntsman and our new insurance company getting appointments made and coverage arranged.
Pray for:
- God's continued peace.
- Good sleep for our family-sometimes it's hard to get sufficient sleep while digesting all the details of what is going on.
- Skilled doctors, nurses & specialists who will be involved with completing and reading my PET scan and biopsy.
- If it's God's will, that the lymph nodes would not actually contain cancer. That would be an amazing miracle and I know if it's in His will, He can certainly do that!
O LORD, You have searched me and known me. You know when I sit down and when I rise up; You understand my thought from afar. You scrutinize my path and my lying down, And are intimately acquainted with all my ways.
